In 12th and 13th of November, 2008 International Technology Transfer Forum, sponsored by Torch High-tech Industrial Development Center of China National Ministry of Science &Technology, Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Tianjin Binhai New Area, was successfully held in Binhai New Area.

During the Forum, Mr. Chaoying Chen, Member, Tianjin Standing Committee of the CPC, met the Mr. Jianlin Cao, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science &Technology of the P.R. China and the experts for home and aboard and addressed welcome remarks.

There are numerous delegates taking part in this Forum from numbers of nations and areas including USA, Germany, Briton, Korea, Singapore etc,. Domestic technology transfer institutes from 26 provinces including Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University and Tianjin University sent the representatives to involve in the conference.

During the conference, the experts represented remarkable keynote speeches on the subjects of transfer and industrialization model in NASA, technology innovation and transfer in Tianjin, entering the world biggest innovation platform.

Mr. Chaoying Chen pointed out that technology transfer play a crucial role in technology innovation, enhancing core competitiveness and turning innovation achievement into productivity. In the worldwide background of economic crisis, the development of technology transfer in Binhai New Area takes positive advantages in holding the International Technology Transfer Forum. In order to allow technology to play full leading action role in supporting the development of economic society, we have to fasten the technology transfer and achievements transformation. As national comprehensive reform and matching test area, Binhai New Area brought vitality and vigor to innovation service. At present, a great numbers of well-known companies, research institutes and service agencies moved in, which creates a huge room for technology transfer. We will try our best to creating a ideal innovation environment, promoting the legislation and policy system, enhancing the communication with the foreign institute actively in the hope to aggregate the technology source, fasten the innovation and transfer of technology, realize common development.

Mr. Jianlin Cao represented that Chinese government pay a huge attention to the international communication and cooperation of science& technology, especially for the multiform and multi-proposed cooperation.
